While I was hunting REIT stocks, I came across Omega. I have to tell you though that every time I look at their ticker symbol, I think Ohio. But they have nothing to do with Ohio. They are in fact, concentrating on senior housing solutions.
I’m a senior, and sometime soon I may need one of these, so owning stock in a few seems like a good idea to me! I’m glad I did because the stock seems to be one of the better REIT stocks in my portfolio. The dividends are pretty high (REITs are known to have higher dividend rates) and the stock has done pretty well.
When it’s my time to go into one of these, I hope I can get into one that I own a little bit of!
