It’s Saturday!

Wow! It’s been a crazy couple of weeks. I know that I have seen HUGE drops in my AI or Tech stocks. Some people are asking if this is the end. Is the data center build out done? Let’s face it, they have been talking about “The Bubble” for a long time now. And when the circular financing started going and then there started to be borrowing from even the major players it did get worrisome. That was all a big part of the dot-com problem back in 1999, right?

Now with the FED raising rates, it’s making it even more problematic to borrow money and pay it back. I’ve been laying low on my Tech buys for a while now. But then I haven’t been buying much of anything really. Now is probably the time though I may still stay out of the Tech Sector.

Coreweave has been the big issue

Corwweave seems to be in a pickle. They expect earnings of 10 million but debts of 18 million. That’s not a good situation to be in and their stock price has been showing it. Coreweave by the way has data centers and we all know how popular they are these days! But the US government isn’t doing any better. The deficit is about 2 trillion this go around and that is not a good budget in my eyes. I hate to say it but we are all in a pickle now.

Not to blame the president, but this is basically what he did with all his companies in the past. Start it up, get people to invest, spend all the money on himself and then bankrupt the company so he doesn’t have to pay them back. Seems like that’s what is happening with our country too. I think the problem is that he has all these “pet projects” that cost a fortune, and don’t generate anything. Classic buying liabilities instead of assets situation.

Midterm Elections

I’m very concerned about the Midterms. Whatever happens, I don’t think it will be good. I think it would be best if the Democrats come out on top to try to make some kind of guardrails to the mayhem, but let’s face it, there can be a lot of bad guys dressed in blue too. It almost seems to me that if you want to get into politics, you probably don’t belong there.

Right now we have a president that wants credit for everything good but no responsibility for anything bad. In my eyes, that’s not a leader. At least it was never my style. But I don’t think it’s going to turn out good, no matter which way it falls in November. Just a few weeks away, and the ad campaigns are going crazy. They make me nuts and I say this every year. In an ad for a politician, they should not be allowed to say anything about “the other guy” but only what they expect to do, AND how they are going to do it! I want real plans. Not just “I will save the world” stuff.

I think the Midterms are playing a lot into the whole Tech failure we have been experiencing. Seems like every politician is saying they will block data centers. It’s become the dirty word in politics, but we all know that a bunch of guff. No matter who gets in, data centers are going to happen. They are just being pushed too hard from the top down. That’s all about money, and greed is the big factor in it all, and there is plenty of greed to go around.

Enough of That

I have not sold anything yet especially in the Tech Area since I unloaded Micron a little while ago. I watched as AMD lost hundreds of dollars per share and I am just holding onto my hat and going for the ride. Most of that is because I missed the boat and I’m hoping for another wave, but who knows. All in all with the way I am diversified, I haven’t really lost money, but I haven’t really gained much either.

The last two weeks, maybe even the last 6 weeks have been awful. But I have to admit, it’s been exciting. Just not in a good way! Up and down over and over again. I will just keep trying to survive.
