Is there a more negative person on the planet than Michael Burry? Maybe it’s just the part of his dealings that gets publicized and maybe he’s a great guy but man! He seems so negative all the time. He seems to always be looking for the bad stuff about companies, and I guess when he finds something he shorts the company.
I’m afraid that he might be manipulating what is happening. He knows that when he says something bad about a company that their stock will go down. So, he shorts a company, then says what a problem they have. People sell their stocks, the price goes down, and he makes a fortune.
I don’t know if that’s really happening or not, but it sure looks that way. It just seems a bad way to deal in stocks. I have always been more optimistic in my life, as well as the way I deal with stocks. I want all the stocks, even ones that I don’t own to go up. That’s just me.
I have never shorted a company, and I can’t see myself doing it in the future. I guess it’s working for him, but I get worried every time I see his name come up!
