My mother-in-law was a businesswoman. She was also really very smart. I remember sitting with her one day and she was talking about her Medtronic stock. She was very pleased with it and happy that she had it. So I decided that I should get a little of it as a nod to her. I wasn’t expecting anything great, but when you are choosing stocks, you use whatever ideas come to mind.
All in all, the stock has behaved pretty well. It does pay a dividend and while it dipped into the red in my portfolio a couple of times, it usually didn’t stay there long.
At this point I am up about 23 dollars per share, so it’s working out ok. Thanks mom!
