Losing Ground – 11/18/2025

Let’s face it. Where I thought I was going is not where I am today! Today a lot of my big winners are not winning so much! I look at Palantir and Google, along with Nvidia and Things are going south. Overall, my market gains are at $1,562.79 but on November 5th when I started my newest spreadsheet, I was at $1,912.12 so that’s almost 400 dollars down.

Google is at $281.08 right now but was at $290.70 just yesterday morning. Palantir is at $167.33 but was $171.64 yesterday morning. It was even higher last Friday.

My biggest loser (FMC) is at $12.77 which is only a few cents drop from yesterday, but I bought it at a bad time when it was $63.47 so my whole stake in the company is only about 50 dollars. I had started about 250.00. I know I should have sold it a while ago, but I have a sentimental attachment there. So if everything goes bad and they close the business, right now, I’m only out 50 dollars. So I am hanging in there.

As bad as it is, I started less than 2 years ago, and I have made 32 percent on the money, so I guess I can’t complain. That’s better than I got in a bank account. But this month, and last month too just seem to be kicking me in the pants.

I recently bought 2 index funds. One Total Market, and the other a large cap fund. I bought them at the same time, and I put the same amount of money into both. I wanted to see if one did better than the other. The large cap is down 6.45 and the other is down 6.67. However the Total Market has more actual shares so I expect that they are basically reacting the same. I think that’s because they are both weighted heavily in the same stocks.

Yes, there are some big drops but I just don’t have any reason to take any drastic action just yet. I mean Palantir may be at 167 but I bought the shares at 24.75. So I still like them!

I am in a wait and see mode. I may just do a little more buying here today, but I’m not sure. I don’t know who I want to buy yet! Things are crazy!
