It’s a new month
Effectively we have gone through the first half of the year. Did that go by fast? Seems like it.
So what is there to look forward to? I saw that this morning some of my bigger stocks were losing ground. They usually do that in the morning. Micron was down 86 dollars for a while. They are now down to $99.89. Almost 100 dollars. AMD is down 30 something and Intel is down 10 or so. Bright spot, Palantir is up over 10 bucks, and Meta (remember Meta?) they are up 55 dollars. Go figure. I think I own about one third of a share of them.
What? They are expensive! Besides, they haven’t been doing very well for quite some time now. All these crazy plays will settle down in a little bit.
What’s up with Iran?
I can’t tell what is happening over there. It seems that oil is moving, and I hope all the other things that were trapped over there are moving too. I heard that some empty tankers are going in as well as the full ones coming out, so that seems like a good sign. I just hope things don’t go crazy anytime soon.
I’m not sure the president would notice if they did, because I think he’s getting nervous about the elections coming up in November. He’s trying to reconfigure the voting rules so that he can win. He says he is not worried, but he won’t pass any bills until his cheat code goes in. I hope congress doesn’t let him have his way. The people need to know that the housing bill that passed a little while ago and would actually benefit Americans is being held up so he can cheat on the elections. but I’m sure he’ll find a way to blame someone else.
I’m hoping that Iran and the issues there will come together. I really haven’t heard anything for a while. I also haven’t heard anything about Gaza or Lebanon or what he is doing about the people in our country that have been devastated by floods, fires, drought, tornados and hurricanes (just coming into season). I know that there is something going to happen soon with more tariffs but none of that is being announced either. Oh, yeah. The Epstein Files are not really settled either. News is sparse.
But there was a ruling on birthright citizenship which I think I agree with. That was the Supreme Court. I’m sure there is much more going on that I am not aware of. Anybody know what is happening on the East Wing of the Whitehouse? Oh, it seems that the America State Fair didn’t go too well. It was basically the Trump State Fair anyway. Not much there about America. Just him talking.
I have to say this whole America 250 stuff is just not exciting me. I thought it was going to be great. But I am just not feeling it. Too bad too, because it will be a long time till the next one and I probably will not be around to see it.
