So, I have had computers since the 1980’s and when I first started getting into DOS and Windows machines, I found that having an Intel chip in the computer was much more expensive than one with an AMD chip.
I found out why when I got a machine with the AMD, and it was really awful. So, from then on, I only bought computers with Intel inside.
Lately however I have been hearing good things about them, especially at the server level where all the AI stuff is happening. Seems like they have really improved. I might even consider getting a laptop with one, just to try it out.
The stock seems to be shooting for the sky since I bought it with all the AI people trying to find the right chips for their AI servers. Nvidia seems to have the lion’s share, but AMD is catching up fast.
I can’t say I have been disappointed in the company, so I will be holding their stock for a while.
