Coming Back
Well, the stock market rallied yesterday, though not enough to really help me. I was down over 300 dollars and I think I got back 50. But that’s a start! I expect to see more of a drop as we continue on with it being September and also the Midterm Elections coming up. I know that there are some issues going on with AI and most of the losses I have suffered have been in my tech stocks. But none of the others did much either.
I didn’t get to see most of it because I was traveling yesterday and will be on the road till Tuesday. I won’t see much of what happens on Monday either then, though I will check in from time to time and I hope that I will be able to leave a little note here during that time.
It seems that there is some real issues with the memory stocks
Western Digital has really been sinking, and I thought I heard that Micron and SK were down as well. I also heard that Google or Amazon (can’t remember which) is working with a new company to create memory chips that are even better than Micron’s. They said that they can get around the supply issue.
I was bummed that Western Digital went so bad. They dropped over a 120 dollars through the last few weeks. That’s killing my Fidelity portfolio.
No other real news
I just haven’t seen anything on the news about the war or any of the supply issues except that oil went over 105 and they expect it might top 110. Iran is saying that they can cut off the red sea delivery path as well as the current strait. They are issuing their own sanctions to try to make the oil prices go even higher. Our president is losing his grip on the situation, if he ever had a grip. I’m not sure. Seems like he’s been losing this fight the whole time.
But hey, he has promised that if the republicans win both the house and the senate, that he’ll send every adult citizen 5000 dollars. I can’t believe anyone would believe that. First of all, it would all be taxpayer money. Second, they haven’t got the money to do it, since it’s like 1.7 Trillion. We already have 40 trillion in debt, and no one is willing to take it on so the treasury is trying to do buy backs which didn’t work. It’s seems like we’ll be on our own and it used to be that treasury bonds were the safest linviestment because the government always pays it’s loans. But our president is know to not pay debts, so why should this be any different?
I’m roadtripping
Gasoline was 4.24 when I left. It was 4.40 on the turnpike, and we just passed a gas station that it was 4.14 here in West Virginia. If you ask our president, he will tell you that our economy is doing great and is so strong that they can send out money to all the citizens. Yeah, right. The economy is in the trash. At least for us little people!
