I decided that to complete my diversification of industries, I had yet to own a fin stock. That’s what they call financial institutions.
I know, I know. I could buy into a big-name bank like Bank of America or Wells Fargo, but somehow that didn’t appeal to me. But I noticed that a lot of people have been moving to using online banking. With no brick-and-mortar shops they have an advantage in offering more services and easy use.
I used to see a lot of people using Chime bank cards at our store, and people seemed happy with the service. I too went with an online bank though it wasn’t Chime. But I was very happy with the way that it worked.
As I looked around for an online bank, one name seemed to always show up at the top of the recommended list. That was SOFI bank. I did some research, and they seem to have a great team working on offering more and more services.
I haven’t changed banks to them as of yet, but I kept an eye on them and watched them really generating a lot of interest. So I chose them as my first fin stock.
So far, it’s my only fin stock, but I think I see more in my future.
