Have you heard about something called the Santa Claus Rally? I had not heard about it, but recently I hear it a lot. Seems that the last week or so in December and first week in January are considered a time when the market will climb to new highs.
Maybe that’s why I did so poorly when I was buying on December 27th when I first started. I guess that was a dumb newbie mistake. I don’t remember hearing about it last year, but I guess there are a lot more reasons to hope for it this year.
The market is doing really badly right now. Well, today anyway. It seems like all my stocks went down this afternoon. But it’s Friday, and that seems to have an effect on the way most of my stocks work. So maybe when Santa Claus gets here, it will all look better! Worked when I was a kid!
